Ivory Daze
"I just write pop songs with distortion." When guitarist/vocalist Isahen Harms puts it that way, it all seems much simpler than how the story of Ivory Daze has actually unfolded - Three close friends brought together into a road hardened and rapidly maturing band through real life growing pains and in the last few years, quite literally thousands and thousands of miles on the road. The growth is evident in every single aspect of their music with every new single that comes forward, whether as individual performers, songwriters, or in the cohesion of 'their' sound as a band. The pounding and churning rhythm section of Maeve Nelson and Van Foster that continues to grow more adept and adventurous with every new release while returning with the same intense & raw energy that pushes each track forward no matter how dense the music becomes. Born of their collective shoegaze, grunge and punk influences, Ivory Daze has grown into a tight unit both in the studio where their new releases are shaped by their experiences and time together and especially live, where their performances bring to mind hardcore shows and the mania of a packed show in a pre-internet and rock obsessed United States more than a loud but standing room modern shoegaze experience. Melding the best parts of 80s and 90s guitar music with the modern evolution of the genre and their own individual touches, this power trio is coming to a rock club or a basement near you soon.
